Don Carey is involved in the management and coordination of large multi-disciplined contaminated sites and brownfield projects across Canada. He is responsible for the development, quality review, and maintenance of Stantec’s Canadian Standard Operating Procedures for Contaminated Site Assessment. He has been dedicated to engineering and brownfield solutions for nearly half a century.

Over the years, he has acted as technical director for a variety of site remediation, decontamination, and water treatment projects and has managed research and development projects. He is an established leader in environmental works and volunteers for various environmental organizations, including Réseau Environnement.

David is the Vice President, Western Region for Milestone Environmental Contracting Inc., where he leads strategic growth and operations across Western Canada.
With over 30 years of experience in the contracting industry, David has managed large-scale environmental projects involving soil remediation, water management and treatment, habitat restoration work, mine reclamation, and demolition. He brings deep knowledge of construction, safety, and industry best practices to every project. A key highlight of his career has been collaborating with First Nations partners to deliver meaningful socio-economic outcomes through project engagement.
David is passionate about developing practical, sustainable solutions and mentoring project teams to ensure safe and successful delivery. He has been serving on the Canadian Brownfields Network Board of Directors since 2023. Based in Langley, BC, David continues to drive innovation and excellence in environmental contracting.

Monique Punt is a professional engineer and a member of the Canadian Brownfields Network Technical Advisory Committee. She is registered with Ontario’s Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change as a brownfields environmental site registry Qualified Person.

Carl Spensieri is vice president, Environmental of Berkley Canada. He is a professional engineer with 20 years of experience in environmental liability assessment, management, and insurance and a business leader focused on driving profitable growth through innovative specialty insurance solutions.
